The TW3 method is based on the analysis of 20 bones
characteristics of a hand x-ray into different ratings and scores allowing the
prediction of adult height (in case of children) and skeletal maturity.
The
characteristics to be extracted are small bones and identification,
classification and size ratio through image analysis techniques, namely edge
detection , contour forming and pattern recognition.
It is possible to estimate the height knowing the age, and by knowing the heigth estimate the age.
